MIKE WAITE Senior manager, Burnley Council with responsibility for cohesion and community engagement; author of 2009 Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust paper "Combining Diversity with Common Citizenship"


Mike will share practical stories and experience of what helped address conflicts and build better community relations after the Burnley riots.

The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) runs weekend workshops for anyone who wants to handle conflict better and is interested in alternatives to violence (physical, mental or verbal).
